General Points 

• The Health Resources Associates (HRA) Card program is FREE and open to members of AKC Parent Clubs and their immediate family.  There are no income requirements, age limitations and no enrollment.  Simply take the activated FREE card into your pharmacy, with your prescription, and  we expect that you will receive an instant discount.
• The discounts will vary depending upon the medication but the scale below should give you a general idea:
  • Generic – 35-45% average savings (with some savings as high as 75%)
  • Brand – 10-20% average savings (with some savings as high as 50%)
• Each member of the family will need their own card.

Medicare Points

• The HRA card may work well for those experiencing the Medicare “donut hole”, to provide savings during a time when people are expected to pay 100% out of pocket towards their medications.

If people already have prescription coverage through their insurance:

• The HRA card can be used to supplement their coverage.  They can use our card to provide a discount on non-formulary medications (medications not covered by their plan).  With this non-formulary list continuing to grow, it is important to mention this card as a great supplement to any benefit program currently in place.
